![]() ![]() The other is the movement system, which is reminiscent of games like Hyper Light Drifter - combat feels really fast and fluid. One is once you've committed a good deal of time into the game, you unlock a decent repertoire of spells, robes, and relics, so mixing and matching loadouts is a lot of fun. The are two reasons most people on this sub like this game. I wouldn't say you are "missing something." In fact, that's pretty much the chief complaint of all the negative reviews on Steam - there's a lack of motivation to keep playing, in addition to stale looking tilesets, stunlock is too aggressive, etc. ![]() I will admit that I didn't pour too much time into the game, so I want to get the opinions of other more experienced players.Īm I missing something about Wizard of Legend that makes it a good game?ĭifferent strokes for different players, that's alright! You can't expect to enjoy every game. Co-op is usually a huge selling point for me, since playing games is one of my favorite ways to connect with others. Unlike Heroes of Hammerwatch and Streets of Rogue, it's not easy to play with friends due to it being split screen, not online, and COVID. The bosses have all the same map layout and attack patterns. Map layout changes, but really not by much, and at the end of the day, you just want to find the portal to move on to the next stage. I feel like the game just makes you mindlessly dash around, casting spells, beating mobs. What I don't like about the game is the lack of replayability. Dashing feels like any other game with dashes, always nice to have. The skills look really cool, there's a lot of different skills/combos to try out and they're definitely polished. The combat and movement is probably the thing I like most about the game. I decided to check out Wizard of Legend, and I found it to fall short of my expectations. ![]() My friends and I have been playing a lot of roguelites recently ~ from Hades to Heroes of Hammerwatch to Streets of Rogue to Enter The Gungeon, and more. ![]()
